Obituary of Josephine A. Petrick

Josephine A. Petrick, 98, of Milford, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Belle Reve Senior Living in Milford, PA. Mrs. Petrick was born in Perth Amboy to the late Antonio and Anna D'Andrea and had previously lived in Fords for over seventy years with her beloved husband and children before moving to Milford. Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a payroll clerk at General Cable while waiting for her fiancée, Emil, to return home from fighting in Germany during World War II. They married and moved to Fords where they raised their three children. She later went to work at Revlon where she retired from after fourteen years. She was a longtime member of the Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords and served on the PTA of the Our Lady of Peace School for many years. She was also a member of the Our Lady of Peace Seniors and Holy Spirit Senior Club. She was predeceased by her son, Emil Petrick Jr., daughter-in- law Ellen Tanner, her two sisters Rose Sotillaro and Mary Dwyer and her brother Jim D'Andrea. Josphine is survived by her devoted husband of seventy three years, Emil, her son: Mark Petrick, her daughter: Diana Stromberg and husband Ray, daughter--in-law: Kathleen Petrick, and seven grandchildren; Joseph, Dennis, Kevin, Mary, Kim, Chris and Kyle. Josephine enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. Above all, she loved planning family vacations and celebrating family birthdays around the kitchen table. Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Mitruska Funeral Home in Fords. Interment took place in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Hopelawn.
