Obituary of Ronald Herman

Ronald S. Herman, 80, of Toms River, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Community Medical Center in Toms River.  Mr. Herman was born in Perth Amboy and had previously lived in Woodbridge Township before moving to Toms River seven years ago.
 
Mr. Herman graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1957 and was a US Army Veteran.
 
He was employed by National Lead in Sayreville, Labors Local 72 and retired after working at G.R,B Environmental Services Inc. in Edison for five years.
 
Ronald was a member of Magyar "Hungarian" Reformed Church in Perth Amboy.
 
He was also a fifty-one-year member of the HUBS of Perth Amboy, where he was a past president.
 
Ron was proud of his wife, children, grandchildren, family and lifelong friends who he held close to his heart. He had a sense of humor that put a smile on your face, enjoyed watching sports ( Mets, Jets & Rutgers) trips to Atlantic City, road trips, gardening ,crabbing, the Jersey shore and spending time with his family and friends.
 
He was predeceased by his mother, Mary (Deak) Herman, a brother Nicholas Herman and a sister Elaine Herman Haleluk.
 
Surviving are his loving wife of fifty-four years, Alberta Brija Herman, his son: Ronald S. Herman Jr. of Fords, his daughter: Natalie E. Herman-Muccilli of Kingwood, her husband Keith Muccilli and grandsons Benjamin and Gabriel; his brother: Edward and wife Bernice Herman of Sayreville, and many nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services will be officiated by the Rev. Stefan Torok, Wednesday 5:30 pm at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects during the visitation Wednesday from 2 pm until 6 pm.  Memorial donations may be made to either the Wounded Warriors, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or to the MDS Foundation, 4573 South Broad St.Suite 150, Yardville, NJ 08620.
