Obituary of Gerald J. Dante

Gerald J. Dante, 78, of Fords, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark. Mr. Dante was born in Mocanaque, PA to the late Joseph and Mary (Koch) Dante and had lived all of his life in Fords. Mr. Dante was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed as an electrician by I.E. Schaeffer for over fifty years before retiring in 2005. Gerald was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 456 of North Brunswick. He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. Surviving are his loving wife of fifty six years, Madeline (Kline) Dante, his two sons: Gerald C. Dante of Highland Park, and Keith Dante of Fords, and also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 7:30 pm at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Visitation hours will be held Tuesday from 4 - 8 pm. Private cremation services will follow.
