Obituary of James E. Pokol

James E. Pokol, Jr., 83, of Fords, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark. Mr. Pokol was born in Fords to the late James and Emma Szabad Pokol and had lived all of his life in Fords. Mr. Pokol was a US Army Veteran of Korean war. He was employed with Tacas Construction in Woodbridge as a carpenter for ten years before retiring in 1995. James is predeceased by a sister Charlotte Weaver in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty two years, Olga R. Polyascko Pokol, his son James R. Pokol and his wife Terri of Atlantic City, his daughter, Sharon Becker and her husband George of Scotia, NY, his brother, Stephen Pokol of Avenel, his sister, Janet Melchisky of Cranbury and two grandchildren. A memorial services will be held Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords.
