Obituary of Harold R. Bauer

Harold R. Bauer, Sr.,75, of Edison, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his home. Mr. Bauer was born in Detroit, MI to the late Frederick and Thelma Anderson Bauer and had previously lived in Perth Amboy and Hopelawn before moving to Edison twenty six years ago. Mr. Bauer was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam war. He was employed as a service supervisor with Elizabethtown Gas for thirty three years before retiring in 1996. Harold was a member of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy. He was predeceased by a brother Fred Bauer and a sister Joyce Zupko both in 2014. Mr. Bauer is survived by his loving wife of twenty three years, Maria A. Guiro Bauer, his three sons, Howie Bauer and his wife Ingrid of Fords, Daniel Bauer and his wife Janine of Fords, and Robert Bauer and his wife Andrea of Bath, PA,, his daughter, Denise Wehrle and her husband Darrin of Hillsborough, his sister Jeannie Lorentz of Toms River and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:00 am service in the St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365. .
