Obituary of Louise A. La Bracio

Louise A. La Bracio, 71, of South Amboy, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Louise was the first daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Boyle. She was born on December 24, 1951, and raised in Rahway, NJ. Louise lived her life as a wonderfully devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, She is survived by her loving husband, Rick La Bracio, her four brothers, Thomas Boyle and his wife Darlene of Motoursville, PA, Arthur Boyle and his wife Deborah of Edison, NJ, William Boyle and wife Valerie of Rahway, NJ and Michael Boyle and wife Melissa of Rahway, NJ, her four sisters, Eileen Hesse and her husband Fred of Freehold, NJ, Marie Lentini and her husband John of Union, NJ, Marjorie Schmidt and her husband Walter of Rockaway, NJ and Patricia Krawiec and her husband John of Bloomfield, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Louise married the love of her life, Rick on April 23, 1995. They lived a beautiful life together and ultimately settled in South Amboy, NJ where Louise enjoyed tending to her garden in their backyard. Right out of high school Louise went to cosmetology school and when she graduated worked as a hairdresser for many years at Ken's Beauty Salon on Cherry Street in Rahway, NJ. After retiring her cutting shears Louise picked up a whisk and began her career as head baker at the Pathmark in Woodbridge. After over 20 years as head backer Louise retired but never let creativity go to waste. she put her skills to test and became an award-winning cake decorator. Her creative mind didn't stop at cake, however. She was also a middle-eastern style dancer for many years where she would make her own costumes to perform in. She went on to volunteer her time and skills at Devany School of Dance making custom costumes for the students. Her costume making skills are continously helping raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Louise designed a special bra that is currently hanging up at Women's Healthcare Imaging collecting donations for research. Louise also learned to crochet and made blankets to donate to veterans. Her creativity knew no bounds. When she wasn't gardening, dancing or baking, you could find Louise spending time with her large family. She loved all her nieces and nephews like they were her own and always came prepared with special projects and crafts for them during family get togethers. Louise's boisterous laugh, infectious smile and warm heart will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Funeral services will be held Sunday 1/29/23 at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Private cremation will follow in the Rosehill Crematory in Linden. Visitation hours will be held Sunday from 12 noon to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for memorial donations to Camp Fatima in Harrison, NJ. Camp Fatima provides free summer camp progtams for children and adults with special needs. Donations can be made at campfatimanj.org.
