Obituary of Allan Julius Szucs

Allan Julius Szucs, 74, of Fords sadly passed away late Wednesday evening, January 5th, 2022. He was born June 11th, 1947, in Perth Amboy to the late Julius and Philomena Szucs. He graduated from Woodbridge High School 1965. From his youth, Allan assisted his father Julius with Szucs’ Service Station and later continued in his father’s mechanical footsteps carrying on the family business. Allan had enlisted in the United States Army on the 20th of September 1966 and spent 14 months in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. He was honorably discharged with rank of Specialist E4 the 19th of September 1972. He spent his life caring for his children and family. Allan is survived by his siblings Linda Olivacz and her husband Joseph of Hopewell, and Phyllis Levins and her husband George of Edison and niece and nephews. Allan was the beloved husband of Mary Szucs of 22 years. He is survived by his children, David Szucs and his wife Jana, Stanley Johnson and his wife Mildred, Marc Kornhaber and his wife Jamie, and Jacqueline McCue and her husband, Charles, as well as his grandchildren, Alexander, Sebastian, Maria, Deklan, and Jaxson. Allan had many joys in life, collecting and restoring antique cars, spending many hours driving on the back roads, attending cruise nights and car shows. There will be a memorial service for Allan Julius Szucs at Mitruska Funeral Home 531 New Brunswick Avenue Fords, New Jersey 08863 on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 11:30am to 2:30pm.
