Obituary of Elizabeth A. Benko

Elizabeth A. Benko, 95, a long time resident of Perth Amboy, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge. Miss. Benko was born in Keasbey to the late Imre and Elizabeth Benko and had previously lived in Perth Amboy and Redfield Village in Edison before moving to Old Bridge. Elizabeth was employed as an assembly technician at Indiana General and then went to work for Revlon in Edison for twenty years before her retirement. She was a member of the Magyar "Hungarian" Reformed Church in Perth Amboy and also a member of Edison Senior Citizens Club. Elizabeth was predeceased by her sister Rev. Ollie Banko Hall, two brothers James Benko and Elmer Banko and her half-sister Helen Heffler. She is survived by two nieces; Dr. Pamela Hall of Perth Amboy, and Wendy Yachinski of Forked River; and three nephews, James Benko of CA; Mark Benko of Forked River; and David Benko also of Forked River. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Hopelawn. Visitation hours will be held Tuesday from 8:30 am until 10:30 am.
