Obituary of Stephanie Fazekas

Stephanie Fazekas, 98, of Edison, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Fazekas was born in Perth Amboy to the late Walter and Lottie Skibinski and had resided in Edison for the last sixty-seven years. Along with being a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Stephanie was employed as a bookkeeper for Morris Stores in Metuchen for many years. She was a member of the St. Michael's Hungarian Catholic Church of Byzantine Rite in Perth Amboy. She was also a member of the Junior Rosary Society of the church. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John in 1996 and also by two sisters; Jane Zisko and Helen Kaczmarek. Surviving are her daughter: Joan Fazekas of Edison, her two sons; John E. Fazekas and wife Patricia of Belle Mead and Thomas Fazekas and wife Nancy of East Brunswick, her sister, Anne Becker of Lexington, SC and brother, Raymond Skibinski of Edison, her two grandsons; Daniel and Jeffrey and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. Fords. Followed by a 10:30am service of Divine Liturgy in the St. Michael's Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Fords. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9 am until the time of service.
