Obituary of Elvera Joyce Kaschak

Elvera "Joyce" (nee Molnar) Tarnowski Kaschak, 93, of Edison, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Kaschak was born in Perth Amboy to the late Louis and Mary Molnar and had lived in Edison for the past fifty-six years. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Perth Amboy, and of the Church Seniors' Club. Joyce was a District 22 Democratic Committee Woman for forty years. She was a member of the Edison Democratic Organization and the Oak Tree Road Senior Citizens Club. She was known to be quick witted with a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 2019, two grandchildren, David and Trevor, three brothers and seven sisters. Surviving are her three sons: David Tarnowski and his wife Lori of Brick, Randy Tarnowski and his wife Bette-Jo of Crystal River,FL, and Scott J. Kaschak and his wife Kim of Edison. She was the loving grandmother of her five grandchildren; Randy, Timothy, Scott, Gabriela and Amanda and five great grandchildren and also aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. in Fords. Followed by a 10:00 am Service of Divine Liturgy in the St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at 1 pm in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery in Wrightstown. Visitation hours will be held Wednesday afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm. Parastas services will be held Wednesday 4:40 pm at the funeral home.
