Obituary of Lenke Bognar

Lenke Bognar, 85, of Perth Amboy, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Bognar was born in Hungary to the late Istvan and Maria Kozma. She came to the US in 1958 and has lived in Perth Amboy for sixty two years. She was employed by American Can Company in Edison for eighteen before retiring in 1991. Lenke was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Woodbridge and also of the Hungarian American Citizens Club. She was very proud of her Hungarian heritage. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed her bus trips to Atlantic City and going to Bingo. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 2001 and also by two brothers and two step-sons. Surviving are her daughters: Mary and husband Rocco Rao of North Brunswick and Valerie and husband David Petrosino of Sewaren, her sister Olga Acs of Hungary, four grandchildren: Stephanie, Dominick, Joseph, and Jake and two great grandchildren: Armoni and Ava. Private services will be held under the direction of the Mitruska Funeral Home. Entombment will take place in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. at 10:00 on Friday May 22nd . Memorial donations may be made to either the Alzheimer's Foundation or to the American Cancer Society.
