Obituary of Pauline Mesko

Pauline Mesko, 92, of Edison, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Mrs. Mesko was born in Linden to the late George and Pauline (Karmazin) Gaboda Sr. and had lived in both Venice, FL and Edison for the last seventy years. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church of Rahway. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Mesko in 1992, her son Stephen Mesko and also her daughter Margaret Widrich. Surviving are two sons: John Mesko and wife Brenda of Avon, and George Mesko of Edison, two daughters: Stephanie DaSilva Klish and husband Stephen of Edison and Mary Ann Tsoukalas and husband Gus of Colonia, four grandchildren: Nickolas, Steven, Bethany and Xavier and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 am at the St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church in Rahway. Interment will follow in the St. John's Orthodox Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of services at St. John The Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, 211 West Grand Ave., Rahway, 07065. Arrangments have been entrusted to the care of Mitruska Funeral Home of Fords. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church.
