Obituary of Harry Jorgensen

Harry Jorgensen, 97, of Perth Amboy, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Mr. Jorgensen was born in Perth Amboy to the late Jeppe and Agnes Lubes Jorgensen and had lived all of his life in Perth Amboy. Mr. Jorgensen was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He was employed by General Service Administration in Florence NJ as a supervisor for fifty years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of American Legion Post 45, Perth Amboy and the South Amboy ELK's Lodge 784. Harry is predeceased by his wife Sophie in 1996 and five brothers. He is survived by his two sisters, Helen and Dorothy, a Nephew, Russell Jorgensen of Woodbridge, two great nephew's Aaron and David Toth and beloved friends Virginia and Steven Xenakis of Parlin. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
