Obituary of Mary Hegedus

Mary Hegedus, 88, of Fords, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Ashbrook Nursing Home in Scotch Plains. Mrs. Hegedus was born in Perth Amboy to the late John and Elizabeth (Rodak) Antos and had lived the last forty eight years in Fords. She was employed as a stock clerk with Renaissance Eyewear in Cranford for over twenty years before retiring in 1996. Mary was predeceased by her husband Augustine in 1999, three brothers John, Michael and Joseph Antos, a sister Anna Gonczi and a grandson David Pavlik. She is survived by her two daughters, Valerie Zigre and husband Andrew of Avenel and Darlene Glazer and husband Barry of Moncks Corner, SC., her sister, Margaret Hegedus of Dunnellon, FL, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held privately Wednesday at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Hopelawn. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects Tuesday from 3 - 6 pm at the funeral home.
