Obituary of Florentino Soto

Florentino Soto, 81, of Perth Amboy, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Mr. Soto was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Justo and Bienvenida Polidura Soto and had lived the last sixty six years in Perth Amboy. He was employed as a maintenance man with the Veterans Memorial Home - Menlo Park in Edison for eleven years before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Perth Amboy and the American Legion Post Metuchen. He was predeceased by a sister and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of forty nine years, Alba Lopez Soto, his two sons, Robert Soto of Perth Amboy and Ronald Soto of Sanford, FL., and four brothers and three sisters all in Puerto Rico. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:00 am mass in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in the Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 5-9 pm.
