Dorothy P. Cladek, 86, of Edison , passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Sunrise Assisted Living in East Brunswick. Mrs. Cladek was born in Perth Amboy to the late Stephen and Anna Kuritz and had lived in Edison for fifty years.
Dorothy spent most of her life as a devoted wife and mother, but had also held various jobs throughout her life, including as a buyer for Woolworth's Department Store in Perth Amboy.
She greatly enjoyed the world of antiques and doll collecting. She was also an avid crafter and loved to read.
She was a member of the St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus RC Church in Edison.
Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter in 2009 and also by her dear daughter Mary Ellen Lacascia.
She is survived by her two sons: Walter E. Cladek III of New Brunswick, and Brook L. Cladek of Jackson, her daughter: Lynn Rose Brown of Edison, her two sisters: Lillian Kish of Highland Park, and Maryann Manee of Jackson, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. Fords. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made either to the Cerebral Palsy KIDS Center, 982 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40217 or the Cancer Institute of NJ 195 Little Albany St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
